During the work in the freight forwarding market, our Company has gained great experience in organization of oversized and heavy load cargo transportation. Transportation of oversized items is currently in high demand. There is an increase in the transportation of all kinds of construction materials, agricultural and other types of equipment, big cisterns, industrial equipment and other oversized goods.
As of today, the transportation of oversized items is
one of the main issues experienced by freight forwarding, automobile and
industrial companies. It is crucial that work process at different sites is
organized in such a way where special-purpose equipment is delivered to their
destination point in a timely manner and in ’ready to use’ state.
Oversized cargos are the cargos with dimensions
(together with the transport vehicle) exceeding the following parameters:

Length – more than 20m (2m overhang of cargo is allowed, as long as the
total length doesn’t exceed 20m);

Width – more than 2,55m.
Oversized cargos are divided
into:
Oversize cargo
A cargo, loaded into a vehicle, exceeds one or more
maximum parameters of transport vehicle, as prescribed in respective regulatory
documents.
Long cargo
A cargo, loaded into a vehicle, sticks out beyond a
tailgate by more than 2 meters.
Heavy cargo
A cargo, loaded into a vehicle, exceeds one or more
parameters on maximum weight of transport vehicle or axial load, as prescribed
in respective regulatory documents. Heavy load cargos are those with weight
over 38 tons (together with vehicle).
