The specifics of cargo shipping between point of dispatch and receipt depend on the characteristics of the transported cargo.

Cargos are divided into several types: 

1. Bulk liquid cargo - food and non-food liquids of various viscosity 
2. Bulk dry cargo - dry goods, shipped without packing, in bulk. According to transportation classification, bulk dry cargo carries the risk of displacement and is divided into two categories - non-grain and grain cargo.  
3. General cargo - piece goods or any type of items transported as a single item. A great example is postal shipment. 
4. Oversized cargo - objects of especially large sizes. 
5. Regime cargo - goods requiring the maintenance of the specific temperature, humidity and ventilation for safe transportation.
6. Hazardous - substances deemed to be a threat to environment and humans.
